Ascot House Care Home Manager

A message from the manager

“Hello, I’m Lynne Woodward and I’ve worked at Kapil Care for 8 years. I’m committed to providing the best possible service to the residents of Ascot House, with the support of a great team of carers. Please get in touch if there is anything more you’d like to know.”

About Ascot House

Ascot House offers long term, respite and day care within a home full of character in a central, yet peaceful, town location. An excellent team of experienced, dedicated carers are devoted to the well-being of everyone living at the home, with a focus on independence and freedom of choice. Tasty, nutritious food is made onsite every day from fresh ingredients and special diets can be catered for.

All bedrooms are en-suite, tastefully decorated and fully furnished. It is also
able to offer ‘companion rooms’ which are suitable for couples. The home itself sits within delightful, lawned gardens with a private courtyard accessed through one of the sitting rooms.

Minibus trips run regularly to places such as the seaside, the theatre, or even just an ice cream in the countryside. Their in-house activities co-ordinator creates, with input from the residents, a whole range of stimulating and enjoyable ways to spend the day for those who wish to participate.

Kapil Care Homes also runs Balmoral House and Carisbrooke Manor.

Guidance for VisitorsCoronavirus (COVID-19)

The health and safety and wellbeing of our residents and colleagues are always our top priorities. In the light of the Corona Virus outbreak in the UK, and in accordance with guidance currently available, we have made the decision to restrict non essential visits to our homes at the present time.

Non essential visits include routine visits from relatives and loved ones as well as visits from outside entertainers, hairdressers, and other professionals and contractors carrying out non essential works within the homes.

We will facilitate other means of communication e.g. telephone and video calls, please ask us if you require assistance with this.

Requests for essential visits where exceptional circumstances arise, will be considered. These can be arranged by contacting the home directly.

We have not taken this difficult decision lightly, and we hope that you understand the reasons for it. Indeed we believe all of our visitors and friends would want us to do everything we can to keep residents safe and well.
